With Pre-Order, you can purchase the latest items added to our store in advance of them arriving with us.
Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!
With Pre-Launch, the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.
So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.
Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.
The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.
No Quibble Returns
We operate a simple 30 days returns policy that applies to all products sold and delivered direct to you, the customer. This means that for any reason you decide that you no longer want the product you may return it in it's original packaging, un-used with the relevant tags attached back to us and once checked we will refund your money within 30 days or replace your product (subject to stock availability). This offer in non-transferable. We do not accept returns that are customer soiled unless faulty and part of a warrantly claim.
Season:2019
Brand:Scott
Code:269761
The SCOTT Spark 970 has a super light Alloy frame, as well as a front and rear fork/shock lockout allowing for a more optimized ride. It's lightweight, durable, affordable and retains all the great geometry and ride of its Carbon cousins.
Tech:
Asymmetric Design - The Spark down tube shock and linkage are clearly asymmetric, when looking from the top of the bike. Off setting the shock slightly to the left hand side of the bike gives a clean and continuous structure from the down tube through the shock mount to the main pivot.
Trunnion Construction - Scott have adopted the new Metric shock sizing standards with a Trunnion mount. Since the shock body now extends between the two lower mounting bolts, our suspension partners have more design space. This means the shock has more stroke for the same eye to eye length. Stroke on the 165mm eye to eye shock has increased from 38mm to 40/45mm.The Trunnion standard also offers structural gains. The shorter shock enables us to build a very compact frame and shock package, which integrates tightly to the seat tube. We managed to have a very tiny yet stiff linkage-lighter than ever. Thanks to the Trunnion mount construction, stand over height on the new Spark is very low. We are still able to realize a super compact full suspension frame and provide the ability to mount both a small and big water bottle.
Full Suspension bikes have changed so much over the last few years. Travel has got biger / longer. Lockouts are available on most bikes and even some bikes have on board computers controlling what the suspension does.
So what do you go for? Well If you believe the press then you need at least 150mm travel if you do anymore than drop off a curb. In reality that's complete rubbish. So here's our attempt to help make things a little clearer for you
XC Bike - Normaly 100 / 120mm travel bike will be sufficient for a XC bike. You will want to consider what lockout the front and rear shock has fitted so you can lock the suspension to improve climbing speed
Trail Bike - 130mm to 150mm travel bike suitable for most trail centers around the UK including Cannock Chase. Consider that all trail centers contain a reasonable amount of climbing so again you may want to consider the lockout system so you can get up the climbs without bobing around too much whilst you get full use of the travel when you come down the other-side.
Enduro Bike - 150mm to 170mm travel bike. If you like taking air where possible, hitting rock gardens flat out and take in the odd downhill track then these bike would be best for you. Make sure you consider that most of the bikes in this category are predominately design to go down so weight will increase as will the bikes ride quality on anything flat and up hill
